College Days

“My college a monument to me
when I leave you and my friends
my heart aches.
Still beckons me my seat and the classroom,
just don't leave us.
My friends, juniors urges don't forget us.

How I can?
I spent few fine years of my youth
amongst the strange faces,
no longer strangers,
all are friends by heart.

Farewell puts me to parting pains,
unforgettable memories of togetherness,
sweet and sour events,
tears and laughters,
joys and sorrows,
tears of joy and sorrow.

Even now I have to say 'farewell'
bid 'goodbye' to all of you left behind””

But I don’t know whether they are aware that they need to put a hell a lot of attempts to reunite the batchmates or the college mates.I have seen a site which was attempting to reunite the college batch one was amufet94.and I have seen a site for reuniting the annamalai students of 1982 batch…

I have seen a paper news about the Guindy engineering college reunion of 1982batch in 2007..But how many are successful and how many are futile…I remember in my college batchmate(first year ) by Name Anantharamakrishnan hosted a farewell party of our engineering batch in the final year…But he couldn’t bring all the team together by then each and every one have their own priorities.

I was just digging some of the nostalgic path. There are certain things which are irreversible/irrevocable with regard to time machine. I realised many times during my college days and hostel days. Knowingly owing to the priorities to the time...Have a feeling whether we have missed the past in the college life or hostel life..After the college life I do visited my college and hostel along with friends.I vistited the final year hostel...But I realised the change is the only thing that doesn’t have any change.I felt the following lines .

“Whatever belongs to you today, belonged to someone else yesterday and it will belong to some one else tomorrow”

When I have seen some of the You tube videos on college fare well..or I have seen an Youtube about Eden friends visiting Annamalai university .I don’t know how they have chosen the name Eden friends but they surely got a feeling that they have lived in a heavenly place like Eden…I think this young lads of Annamalai university could have felt that pleasant feeling of warmth within them..The Video was really enjoyable. Creates a feeling as if we visited the college.

I do realise I was also a member of one such powerful group spread across country spread across globe..Strangely something ripples…a gentle feather touch thought which always drills the mind…Yes it is drilling…sometimes this thoughts are so intense ...It is extremely difficult to be philosphical and accept/digest the following lines though it is truth.

“Whatever happened in the past, happened for the best; whatever is happening, is happening for the best; whatever will happen in future, will happen for the best. Do not repent the past, do not worry for future, concentrate on your present.”
