Tamil Thai Vazhthu in SLB School
This is the prayer song of this school.
Every day Tamil Thai Vazhthu was sung and then the school activities start.
On every monday all students will assemble to the flag mast .Before the flag hoisting this song was sung.
This school was so systematic in following this prayer activity every day.
I remember some of the headmasters of those times were Chandrasekara pandian and Natarajan.This song was sung by singers V G Gayathri and V G Ananda those times.
In a way the morter brick and stone of this great building had a vibration of this great song.Again it is really nostalgic to think about SLB the great School.
Invocation to Goddess Tamil
Bharat is like the face beauteous of Earth clad in wavy seas;
Deccan is her brow crescent-like on which the fragrant 'Tilak'
is the blessed Dravidian land.
Like the fragrance of that 'Tilak' plunging the world in joy
supreme reigns Goddess Tamil with renown spread far and wide.

இது நடந்தது எம்.ஜி.ஆர் தீவிர எதிரணி அரசியலுக்கு வருவதற்கு முன்னால். அப்பொழுது கருணாநிதி முதல்வராக இருந்தார். அவருக்கு ஒரு விருப்பம். தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்துக்கு இசையமைத்தால் எப்படி இருக்கும் என்றுதான். தேசியகீதத்திற்கு இசையமைத்துப் பாடுகையில் தமிழ்த்தாய்க்கு மட்டும் இசைமாலை கூடாதா என்ன?
உடனடியாக கருணாநிதியின் நினைவிற்கு வந்தவர் மெல்லிசை மன்னர் எம்.எஸ்.விஸ்வநாதன். உண்மையிலேயே தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்திற்கு இசையமைக்கப் பொருத்தமானவர்தான். கருணாநிதி எழுதிய பாடல்களுக்குத் திரைப்படத்தில் இசையமைத்திருக்கிறார் அவர். ஒரு முறை ஏதோ ஒரு பாடலை எழுதி அனுப்ப....வசன நடையாக இருக்கிறது என்று சொல்லி மெல்லிசை மன்னர் திருப்பி அனுப்பி விட்டாராம். அடுத்து இன்னொன்று எழுது "வசன நடையாக இருந்தாலும் இசையமைக்கவும்" என்று குறிப்பும் அனுப்பினாராம். எந்த பாடல் அது என்று நினைவில்லை.
தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்திற்கு இசையமைத்தால் யாரைப் பாட வைக்க வேண்டும் என்று மெல்லிசை மன்னர் பெரிதும் யோசித்திருக்க மாட்டார் என்றே நினைக்கிறேன். அவருடைய சிறப்பான கூட்டணி ஏழிசை வேந்தர் டி.எம்.சௌந்தரராஜனும் இசையரசி பி.சுசீலாவும்தானே. அவர்களை வைத்துப் பாடலைப் பதிவு செய்து விட்டார்.
அந்தப் பாடலைத்தான் இன்றும் நாம் பள்ளிகளில் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். இனியும் கேட்போம். ஆக தமிழகம் இருக்கும் வரைக்கும்....தமிழ் இருக்கும் வரைக்கும்....மெல்லிசை மன்னரும், ஏழிசை வேந்தரும், இசையரசியும், இவர்கள் அனைவரையும் ஒருங்கிணைத்த கலைஞரும் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டுதான் இருப்பார்கள்.
இந்தப் பாடலை, இசையரசியின் வலைப்பூவில் உங்கள் அனைவருக்கும் பகிர்ந்து கொள்வதில் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறேன்."அன்புடன்,
